Hello, my name is Ysabel Wang. I'm currently a PhD candidate studying physical oceanography in the MIT-WHOI Joint Program. I am advised by Magdalena Andres.
My research involves investigating the links between cross-scale ocean processes in the Northaestern Atlantic by making use of all available sources of information (in-situ measurements, satellite imagery, model output). In particular, I'm interested in investigating the relationship between the well-studied large-scale, long-term, and surface-expressed physical processes and the more elusive fine-scale, short-term, and often subsurface ocean processes that have a cumulatively significant impact on the environment.
On this website, you will find information on my research, past and upcoming conference presentations, and how to contact me.
